Philautia or I call it love of self aka self-love, refers to self-esteem, the good and the bad. The video is not going to enrich your self-love, or immediately make you love yourself, rather, it's an idea of the birth of self-love, and the takeaway from it. There are two sides of self-love; the light and the dark. The theory behind this project is to ponder around the reasoning of the dark part in oneself before reaching the light, and self-love requires both to exist. Costumes, props, as well as the background in this video, represent the details of both light and dark, and the necessity of both in each other. For example the mask, represent the experience taken along both the path of light and dark. At the end of each journey, we should come back to love, with our lessons, and within us, the dark and the light resides in sync. .
